Featured Question:

Dear Ginger,
I am getting married soon and was wondering what I need to do to change my name. I am also leaving for the Cook Islands shortly after and my maiden name will still be on my passport. Will this be a problem? Thank-you, Tracey

Dear Tracey,
The Post Office has a complete name change kit with instructions and guidance on how to best handle this situation. Your maiden name on you passport will not be a problem as I suspect you won't officially, legally change your name until you return from your honeymoon. As long as your ID and passport match, you should be all set, however bring a copy of your marriage certificate nad your birth certificate just in case! Thanl-you for Asking Ginger

Dear Ginger,
I am the mother of the bride, and will be giving the bride away. What should I wear? It will be a formal, winter/evening wedding with evening attire. Wedding colors; black, silver and pink.

Valerie in MD

Dear Valerie in MD,
If it's a "formal wedding" I would suggest you wear silver. Black would be oo much and in the photographs you would probably look like one of the bridesmaids if they are wearing black. Pink would be too light for the "formalness of the wedding" and your position. Silver is perfect! I hope that helps you out! Thank you for "Asking Ginger"
